A lush, green city in the north east of China, Dalian delights all who visit.

Dalian is a popular vacation hotspot famous for its stunning beaches and open green spaces, not only attracting Chinese tourists but visitors from all over the world.

Influenced by its colonial settlement – first from Russia, then Japan – Dalian was once the southern port of the Trans-Siberian Railway and is now a cultural melting pot, maintaining much of its colonial charm.

In Spring, the city is transformed under a sea of cherry blossoms making it one of the best times to visit. Galleries featuring Chinese and contemporary art line the streets along with historic buildings, while the coast offers plenty of activities for beach-goers and water lovers. Fujiazhuang Beach is a must-visit for its clear, clean waters – perfect for swimming – as well as reefs and islands that make for picturesque scenery.

There is ample sightseeing around Dalian, from the coastline’s beaches and parks to the mountains and valleys outside the city. Don’t miss the 1,000 year old Xiangshui Temple, known for its internal waterfalls.
